Hockerill students and staff are celebrating a record equalling number of seven offers to study at Oxford and Cambridge Universities.
Oxford has made offers to Emma Giesen to read Law at Christ Church, Ruskin Harding and Gareth James to read Oriental Studies, in Japanese and Chinese respectively, at St John’s, and Katherine Lewington to read Music at Hertford College. Cambridge has made offers to Jamie Atkinson to read History at Clare, Michele Del Carretto to read Archaeology at Christs and Martha Hoult to read Law at Girton.
Oxbridge Coordinator, Dr Genevieve Millard commented, “It has been an absolute joy to support all of the students who applied this year. They are an exceptionally talented and intellectually curious cohort who have been involved with every aspect of College life.”
Principal, Mr Richard Markham commented, “I would like to add my congratulations to those of Dr Millard’s. The students have all worked exceptionally hard to secure these offers and I am delighted for them. It is also heartening to see that there is a growing recognition of the qualities of International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme students at the UK’s top universities.”
